My father liked to relax by playing music and he enjoyed a variety of instruments. Clarinet had been his first instrument and he played it throughout his life. He also played Alto Sax, piccolo, and flute, and, just for fun, melodica.
As far as I know, I have no recordings of his playing Alto Sax, a very mellow instrument that I like hearing. He had played the saxophone quite a lot, during his life, but with four children to support, he'd sold his sax, and did not buy another until quite near the end of his life.
