collection of Patricia Cummings.
This is an audio file with comments about the purported "secret quilt code." The file was recorded some time ago, but I decided to set it up on its own page. This statement was first recorded in November 2006. The reference to the information "below" refers to the detailed and lengthy discussion presented on the file to which these words were originally attached.
The person whom you hear speaking on this audio file has written extensive files about the Underground Railroad and the unfortunate misrepresentation of history via the so-called, "Secret Quilt Code."
Articles on this subject, written by Patricia L. Cummings, are featured on her website: Quilter's Muse Publications, as well as on her blog.

At the height of the controversy, quilt historian Patricia Cummings published a 4,000 word essay in UnRavel the Gavel newspaper, two lengthy articles for The Quilter magazine and a 10 page article for NeedleArts magazine.
