Nostagically, I picked these three songs to sing because they were familiar ones to my late parents. The first one was adopted as a marching song by the British soldiers, during WWI.

John Grace and Betty when they were young and dating

Old photo of my parents when they were dating - Check out the Argyle socks, the "knickerbockers," or "plus-fours," (according to Dorothy in Sweden), and the hat. The photo was taken on the New Boston River, perhaps near Goffstown, where they often brought a picnic lunch and skipped rocks. John and Elizabeth Grace were married in 1937 and dated for eleven or twelve years before that. This photo could have been taken in the late 1920s.

Three Songs:

"It's a Long, Long Way to Tipperary," by Jack Judge and Harry Williams, 1912

"I Want a Girl Just Like the Girl," by William Dillon and Harry Von Tizer, 1911

"In the Good Old Summertime," Ren Shields, Charles B. Lawlor, George Evans, and James W. Blake, 1902
