Lippizaners = Show Horses

When I was a child, my parents took me to see a show of Lippizaner stallions in Boston. It was magnificent. The horses are so precisely-trained to do "Dressage" and to leap into the air. I may still have the souvenir booklet somewhere in this house!

* The names "Lippizan" and "Lippizaner" are interchangeable. For more information on this type of horse, please see Lippizaner History or the Wiki file.

Corazones de Fuego means "Hearts of Fire."

Mi Caballo Blanco

Es mi caballo blanco
como un amanecer
Siempre juntitos vamos
Es mi amigo más fiel.

Chorus:  Mi caballo, mi caballo,
galopando va,
Mi caballo, mi caballo,
se va, y se va.

Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah.
Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah.

En alas de una dicha, mi caballo corrió
y en brazos de una pena, también él me llevó.

Chorus

Al tata Dios le pido y Él lo sabe muy bien
Si me llama a su lado, en mi blanquito iré.

Chorus

English Translation by Patricia L. Cummings

My White Horse

My horse is as white as the sunrise.
Together we always go,
He is my most faithful friend.

Chorus:  My horse, my horse, galloping goes,
My horse, my horse, goes and goes (or, runs and runs).

On the wings of happiness, my horse ran
and embraced by hardship, he also carried me.

To ""Daddy" God, I plead, and He knows very well
If he calls me to his side, on my white one, I will go.

Patti Grace and her horse, Montana Red, with Lucky in the background

Old, deteriorated, Polaroid photo of me, "Patti" Grace" with "Montana Red,"
circa 1965. "Red" is wearing a ribbon that we won in the "Deerfield Parade" that day.

"Mi Caballo Blanco," (my white horse), a 3 1/2 year old, half-Arabian gelding named "Lucky," son of the stallion, "Sardaf," is grazing in the field behind.
