About

Born in the early 1950s, I am a baby boomer with an empty nest, but about to become a grandmother. Good thing I learned to quilt long before now, as I will be making a few baby quilts.

I still love to sing folk songs and play guitar, a hobby I have enjoyed since the 1960s. I speak Spanish and enjoy any opportunity I may find to communicate in that language.

I’m a down home kind of gal who likes to bake apple pies, and eat them! I have enjoyed designing quilts, and have written quilt history articles for publication, since 1999. Today, I am working on the 50th article for The Quilter magazine. In addition, I am writing my eighth book. My husband and I love to visit museums, and to travel (mostly) within the New England area.
