Miniaturized version, based on an antique in her collection, was designed by Patricia Cummings in 2006 A pattern is available.
The adapted and re-worked design is based on a much larger, antique quilt in the collection of Patricia L. Cummings. This quilt, "Adorable Puppies," is a miniature version of a vintage quilt top/coverlet in my collection. I can't tell you how much fun it was to go through my scrap bag and choose small scale floral prints for the puppies. The original textile also features bright pink sashings, so I kept that feature in place. I adapted this quilt for use on a specific doll bed by decreasing the size of the top border. I discovered a delightful "dog bones" fabric at a quilt shop on the very day that I wanted to choose just the "right" border print. The quilt shown measures 22 3/4" x 23 1/8".
